Experience of DANPCB appointed District Project Officers in implementing innovative strategies, for prevention and control of blindness to reach marginalized sections in Karnataka. 

The Government of India-UNDP Capacity Development for Local Governance (CDLG) project is implemented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. It aims to strengthen institutions and mechanisms so as to enhance capacities of elected representatives (ERs) and functionaries for human development oriented, inclusive planning, implementation and improved accountability in local governance.

This publication is a part of the V.V. Giri National Labour Institute’s efforts to highlight how HIV/AIDS can be prevented so that it does not reduce labour supply in the country.

The overall objective of this Documentation was to assess the facilitation of DANTB in the growth of RNTCP and empowering it with several innovative approaches and skills. The concrete achievements during the project period are evident in the difference in crucial indicators relating to diagnosis, treatment, cure, default and death.

The modules and courses in this document use case studies, exercises, discussions and presentations to focus on developing protocols, processes and action plans for surveillance activities.
