Improving Healthy Behaviors Program (IHBP) website Launched

The Improving Healthy Behaviors Program (IHBP), managed by FHI Development 360 (formerly AED), is a three-year technical assistance project, with two additional option years, designed to strengthen institutional capacity of government at the national, state, and district levels to design, deliver, and evaluate strategic communication programs focusing on behavior change.

 

UNDP-Supported Legal Aid Services For people living with HIV in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh

Worldwide, especially in India there is growing evidence of the links between HIV and the denial of property and inheritance rights to women and children who are HIV positive. In 2007, seven Legal Aid Clinics (LACs) for people living with HIV were set up in high prevalence districts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. A report of this pilot intervention envisages us on the success of this intervention.

 

Executive Summary: What we have learnt so far; CARE India, RACHNA Program

The documentation enlightens on the experiences, lessons learnt and findings of the USAID funded, Reproductive and Child Health, Nutrition and HIV/AIDS Program RACHNA of CARE-India in a collection of technical papers. Decline in malnutrition among children is the fruitful outcome of the five-year experience that would form a future platform of motivation to continue to work to reach global and national development goals for child health and nutrition in India.

RACHNA Program 2001 – 2006. Summary of Approaches and Results

The documentation on RACHNA program embarks on highlighting the details of the two main projects that endeavor to promote maternal and child health, and nutrition services. Integrated Nutrition and Health Project (INHP II) aims at sustaining the reduction in infant mortality and child malnutrition and the Chayan project supports the strengthening of family planning services in order to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.

Alliance India launches India Country Office website

The India HIV/AIDS Alliance (Alliance India) is a diverse partnership that brings together committed organisations and communities to support sustained responses to HIV in India. Alliance India did not have a website specific to India.
