This project aimed to design culturally relevant training materials for school teachers and paramedical professionals of the government.
In order to implement effective school eye health education program and community school programme, a large number of teachers and community health workers need to be trained to teach students and communities about best eye health practices.
It is intended that the training module will cover broadly topics including introduction on eye health, delivering of eye health practices at schools, planning for schools/community about eye health practices, engaging with women, hygiene, and nutrition.
The modules will be used for conducting trainings for one day each for teachers and para medical professionals.
The communication materials which were developed were based on the local area, local population needs, and were very relevant for usage.
