A day-long consultation on ‘Improving Urban Health’ was organised in Lucknow by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Urban Health Initiative (UHI).
The objective of the consultation was to give top priority to implementation of various schemes aimed at improving urban health across the State’s 75 districts. The consultation created a platform for the sharing of best practices from across the State to address the challenges of urban health in the cities of UP. Participants included nodal officers and joint directors from the districts, senior development partners working on urban health, representatives from the Directorate, National Health Mission as well as the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of UP and representatives from different states and Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
New Concept was engaged by Urban Health Initiative (UHI) to develop and print two publications - FP2020 and NUHM; web links were also created for the NUHM publication. New Concept designed and printed all the materials for the Consultation and also provided support by managing logistics, venue and organisation of the whole event.
