The Improving Healthy Behaviors Program (IHBP), managed by FHI Development 360 (formerly AED), is a three-year technical assistance project, with two additional option years, designed to strengthen institutional capacity of government at the national, state, and district levels to design, deliver, and evaluate strategic communication programs focusing on behavior change.

IHBP is part of the Health Partnership Program Agreement (HPPA) between USAID and the Government of India. The project collaborates closely with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW), the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), and their agencies and counterparts at the state and district levels. IHBP focuses on behavior changes in four program areas: family planning/reproductive health, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and maternal and child health.

New Concept in close coordination with the IHBP team designed and developed the IHBP website to cater to the client need of ensuring that all the major program elements of the project get constantly highlighted on an online platform. New Concept also provided the IHBP team with manuals and intensive training on managing and updating their own website on a regular basis.

Assessing the needs of IHBP, an open source platform was used to create the website, this ensures that the team can access and update the website from anywhere in the world. Links via icons were provided to the projects’ social media pages for an easier access to the team and thus connecting them on a common platform. Some of the features included user registration, customized access levels for different types of users, interactive features like video, picture gallery, etc.

Platform: Drupal CMS (Linux, PHP, MySQL)
