The vision of inclusive growth through mechanisms for innovative and efficient delivery of public services, as envisaged in the Eleventh Plan, is brought forward in the Good Practices Resource Book. This is a compendium of successful governance initiatives and best practices, jointly brought out by the Planning Commission, Government of India and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

It is a collection of 34 case studies from various regions of the country, spanning all themes of the development sector – health, rural development, public distribution, water and sanitation, education, disaster management. These studies demonstrate that participation of people and communities is an essential pre-requisite of any development programme. They are not only from States that fare well on human development indicators, but also from States that are lagging behind.

New Concept was engaged by UNDP for editing, design, layout, printing and dispatch of the Good Practices Resource Book.
