Government of Bihar through its key departments is pursuing a wide range of capacity building initiatives supported by the World Bank under a Technical assistance Program. One such key department is the Rural Development Department (RDD) that is undertaking several reform initiatives aimed at creating systems and processes that ensure citizens at the centre of its operations.  

The Department of Social Welfare (DoSW) became an independent department on the subject of Women and Child Development on April 1, 2007. The key mandate of the Department is the protection of the interests and rights of women, children, older persons and persons with disabilities, with focus on the marginalised sections of society.

Formative research to understand perceptions regarding Sanitation and Hygiene among different Stakeholders with focus on excluded communities in the districts of Vaishali, Gaya, Madhepura and Sitamarhi.

Wall Calendars developed for district-level planning to serve as a ready reckoner for district officials under the UNDP-supported joint program of convergence implemented by the GoI and UN.
